Last week, I had the pleasure of creating this gorgeous Rapunzel-inspired cake, and it was such a fun one to make! 💕 I absolutely love when a cake gives me the opportunity to play with colour, flowers and lots of pretty little details, and this one certainly did just that.
The cake was finished in beautiful shades of pink, with a soft, feminine feel that worked perfectly with the Rapunzel theme. I added delicate little flowers in pink, yellow, purple and blue, creating a colourful floral garden that wrapped its way around the cake.
One of my favourite details was the cascading trail of golden hair running from the top of the cake right down to the base. I added tiny flowers in different colours throughout the cascade to give it that whimsical, magical feel. 🌼🦋
Of course, the star of the cake had to be Rapunzel herself! 👑 She was surrounded by beautiful flowers and greenery, along with some sweet little character details that brought the whole design together. I wanted the top to feel like a little enchanted garden, full of colour and fairy-tale magic.
I also added butterflies and delicate piped details around the cake to give it even more life. There is something so special about handmade cakes like this because every little flower and decoration is placed individually, making each cake completely unique. 💗
I was so happy with how this Rapunzel cake came together. From the pretty pink finish and colourful floral cascade to the magical topper, it was definitely a cake filled with fairy-tale charm.
