Rosette Cakes
Over the long weekend I had three rosette cakes booked in, so they must be the next big thing in the auckland cake scene. Which makes me extremely happy as I just love creating them and they are just so pretty. They are a little tricky as the crumb coat behind the rosettes needs to match the colour on top so the cake really gets iced 2 times but wow what a stunning effect. Well winter has well and truly set in hasn`t it, Auckland is looking very grey yet again today. So what a great day to do some sorting out and re arranging at Temptation Cakes. On looking through my precious gems of vintage crockery this morning I came across a dinner set I have not seen in many years as it is so precious it was wrapped in about 10 layers of tissue paper lovingly by my mum oh I would say 30 years ago. Yes my Bunnykins set has come out of hiding, and it is no wonder I became such an awesome baker on looking at the image on my 40 year old dinner plate.
