This awesome guy`s Mum Hayley, is one of my A1 customers, and I have to say, not having children myself, it totally makes my day, when I see these great kids each year on their Birthdays. This year on Ronans cake delivery, I was shown the latest tooth that is now missing just hours earlier! how cool is that! Then his little brother Alex also proudly showed me he had lost his first tooth! as we all know a very exciting time in ones life. It was with great honour i created this cake for Jasmines Mum the survivor of lung cancer. A huge party was organized with her favourite band playing at the event and all her loved ones coming together to celebrate life and her latest birthday. Wow what a party that would of been. It`s such a passion for me I dream about cake at times, and it can get a little stressful, but delivery days, usually Saturday and Sunday are SO my favourite part of the week and they totally makes up for any stress i may have experienced on my production days. Why is this you say? Because my dear readers I get to meet my Fabulous Customers. I am an online cake shop and I don`t have a retail space where people can walk in to, I work out of a registered kitchen and deliver all of my cakes instead. This means all orders are finalized over the phone or in email exchange, so I don`t get to meet my customers face to face until I deliver their cake. So Saturdays and Sundays I get to see the happy faces of my great customers and it really is a fantastic feeling, some days I drive all the way back to work with a huge smile on my face, quite often actually! I was approached by the lovely Sarah who owns Live & Let Dye in Mt Eden Village a few months back about supplying her with cupcakes for a monthly or bi-monthly event she holds at the salon on sundays called High Tea & Hair Lessons. A great gathering of like minded ladies who on the day get to see and are also taught to do up do`s and other tips and tricks you can do on yourself, while they get to eat yummy cupcakes and are served tea from the most adorable vintage tea cups.
